I just wanted to say hi to all the October surgery people. I had my surgery on Oct. 20th and haven't posted because I didn't realize this Forum was here. I am happy to report that I'm finally starting to feel better from the surgery. I have been extremely tired and trying to get use to my new life and my new digestion system. I've been reading what all of you have been eating and am amazed. I'm still on full liquids and have been for 4 weeks. I'm totally bored with the food but I'm not sure that my pouch can tolerate the next stage yet. I have not weighed myself yet because I decided to wait until I go for my first post-op surgeon visit. That is Monday and I'm anxious to see what I've lost. I know for sure that my feel have lost because my shoes are falling off!! Hopefully, I've lost more elsewhere, too. I hope everyone is doing well and please let me hear from you all. Fran

Hi Fran, I had surgery on that day too! I'm on normal foods now and I think that's why my energy is so good. I hope they progress you soon and that your first appointment goes well! It's nice to see you on here! Loved the comments about the shoes, I've had that same feeling... Hugs, Vi

Welcome Fran, Glad you found us. This site is the best. I've learned alot from it, and of course met so many nice people. I agree with you about being bored with the food. I'm still only doing 2 oz of protein 5x's a day . I've been doing that since 11-3. Your pouch will be able to handle the next stage. Just take it slow and eat what you can. You may only be able to eat a few bites at a time, it's better than nothing. In time you should be able to get it all in. Good luck at your surgeon visit tomorrow. Let us know how it goes. Lisa J
