hi Shrinking Violet! My doc here in Arizona has us drinking CIB --- BUT putting a 1/3 cup of dry milk powder in with the skim milk and pouch of CIB. He calls it fortified milk. That ups your protein, calorie, etc counts. Sheryl

Yep, my doc here in TX does the same thing -- one envelope of powdered skim milk (enough to make 1/2 gal) into a 1/2 gal of store-bought skim. It doubles your protein without any trouble, and tastes better, too. Cyndi

Repeat POST: CIB comes in O SUGAR ADDED form in both chocolate and vanilla -- fewer calories, and less sugar. Be sure to read the box -- it's BLUE instead of yellow, and says O ADDED CARBS on it. Cyndi

I bought the one with less sugar, it didn't work for me for some reason. I think the lactose sugar bothered my pouch too much? I use a protein powder from Carb Solutions instead, it has 1 gram of sugar and 20 grams of protein. I tried the CIB for a different taste, but it didn't agree with me. I figured since so many other people were using it, I would try it.

Hi Sheryl, thanks for the tip. I think my pouch just didn't like that lactose sugar in the CIB.
