I can eat about 3 oz at a sitting. My surgery was 4 days before your's and I'm on the soft foods right now. Dec. 1st I move onto regular food....yaaay... just 2 and 1/2 more weeks! My best source of protein right now is tuna (3 oz has 25 grams of protein) and shrimp. I chop them up good and put a little mayo on it and eat it. I tried a very tiny, very flat and toasted piece of multigrain bread today, but it did nothing for me, so I didn't fini**** For now I guess I'll stick to eating the tuna or the shrimp salad plain! I also eat a lot of cheese. I'm getting pretty bored with my choices! Vi

Vickie, 1st of all congrats on losing 22lbs. That's awesome. I too ahd lap RNY on 10-18-05 and am down 40lbs so far. Some of the proteins that I can eat are as follows only 2 oz though 5x's a day. Although I can't do them all. Salmon, haddock, tuna, imitation crab meat(use with fat free mayo) fat free or low fat cheese, cottage cheese Carb conscious carnation instant breakfast No sugar added non fat yogurt- 8 oz. I buy the carb control drinkable yogurt 1 egg or 1/4 cup of egg beaters, etc.. deli turkey ground turkey. dark meat chicken I can choose which ones daily I want to eat. Although I can't get in the 5 that are requested. I usually do 3-4 of 2 oz. I've tried to do all 5 but there is no way I can. If I don't have time to eat I bring with me a Carb conscious carnation instant breakfast ready to drink as my protein. As of 12-5 I can eat more of a variety of foods. But I know I won't be getting them all in. Hope this helps, Lisa J
