Finally started loosing!!!!!
but today was a blah day. I managed to drink a protein shake. 8:30 and 11:30 using unjury that is 36 grams of protein. Trying really hard to ge****er in but that is not going well. But the scale finally moved 4lbs. I went 8 days with no weight loss. I am so happy. My diet was progressed to soft but I am really still on liquids. Pureed filled me up too fast and today I tried tomato soup that came up and for dinner I grilled some cod fish very moist and flakey but that too came up. I did manage to walk 6/10 of a mile. I have been real sweaty and dizzy. I am drinking another protene shake and hopefully tomorrow I will feel better. I just can't get the liquid in. Today I struggled and did maybe 3o ozes/ Oh well just wanted to share.

Hi, Jane - here's a little trick that I read just before my surgery, and it's worked for me, to get in my liquids. Try some mint tea (decaf) (other herbal teas will work, too). For some reason, the warmth is very easy on the pouch, and can go a long way towards getting in that clear liquid requirement.

THE DIZZINESS & BEING SWEATY COULD EASILY BE CAUSED BY DEHYDRATION ... ESPECIALLY HEARING THAT YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE GETTING YOUR FLUIDS IN.
I USE CRYSTAL LITE & SMUCKERS "TEAS" ... I LOVEEEEEEEE THEIR PEACH FLAVOR. TO BRING OUT THE FLAVOR EVEN BETTER, I PUT THE POWDER IN AN ELECTRIC TEA MAKER (MUCH LIKE A COFFEE MAKER), ADD 3/4 CUP OF SPLENDA & IT "BREWS" IT HOT ... ADD ICE & KEEP IN THE FRIG. THIS REALLY BRINGS OUT A NICE FLAVOR & IT IS SO MUCH EASIER TO GET MY FLUIDS IN THAT WAY. YOUR POUCH MAY REACT TO ICED COLD, SO POUR JUST THE FLUIDS & LET IT SIT TO ROOM TEMP, THEN TRY TO DRINK IT IN LITTLE SIPS.

IF YOU KEEP HAVING TROUBLE, CALL YOUR DOC. DEHYDRATION COULD CAUSE YOU TO PASS OUT. WE HAD 2 GIRLS FROM OUR LOCAL SUPPORT GROUP DO THAT ... ONE IN THE SHOWER ... SO BE CAREFUL & TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!
