I signed up to get more information. My father was a stroke victim so this is a topic close to my heart. I don't think I'll be able to afford the Hawaii one but you never know. Thanks for the info. Keke

I'm so happy to hear that! And don't worry about affording it, I could never afford Hawaii either, but the way it works is that they pay your way (you do however have to raise a certain amount in funds for the American Stroke Association). I'm hoping I can get a lot of fund-raising help from my job! HUGS, Vi

This is the easiest question ever for me. I want another baby. But to do that and NOT end up in a wheelchair, I need a 4 level spinal fusion. To do that I need to be at a more normal weight, as no surgeon would do a 4 level fusion in someone of my weight. Keeping up with my son, and being able to take him places and not worrying about whether I'll fit (in chairs, in rides, etc) is an extra added bonus. Of course, as of right now my husband isn't sure if he wants any more kids. We love Alex dearly and he is the greatest accomplishment of my life and a gift from God, but his developmental delays have put a strain on all of us. John's afraid the same thing might happen to #2. BASICALLY, I STOPPED ALL PHYSICAL & ATHLETIC ACTIVITIES DUE TO THE CONSTANT PAIN. I WANT A MORE ACTIVE LIFE WITH MY HONEY ... WE'VE TALKED ABOUT TAKING DANCE LESSONS, HORSE BACK RIDING LESSONS, & AS A CHILD, I LOVED ICE SKATING ... I'D LOVE TO DO THAT AGAIN & WE HAVE A GREAT RINK RIGHT HERE IN TOWN. I MISS WATER SKIING - WAS PRETTY GOOD AT THAT. ALSO, ALTHOUGH I "KNOW" I CAN DO ANYTHING, I BEGAN NOT TRYING NEW THINGS BECAUSE OF THE EFFORT IT TOOK & I WAS ALWAYS SO EXHAUSTED ... ONE OF THE THINGS I REALLY WANTED TO DO & DIDN'T WAS HAVE MY OWN BUSINESS ... MY GOAL IS TO START A HOME BUSINESS IN JANUARY 2006 ... I'M BACK TO KNOWING I CAN DO ANYTHING I PUT MY MIND TO & ACTUALLY PUTTING ACTION INTO MY GOALS.

I think I'm going to get a job! I worked for the first 4 years of my marriage. I was working in Chicago and taking the train everyday. I worked a full 8 hours and then had a 1 1/2 hour commute each way. I would leave at 6:30 in the morning and get home at 6 pm. Needless to say, I got tired of that very fast. When my second daughter came along I decided it would be more beneficial for me to stay home. One month after I quit, I found out I was pregnant again. So, next year my youngest will start kindergarten and the other two will be in 2nd and 5th grade. I hope to find something that will work during their school hours. I had been home for so long and put on more weight, I just couldn't even think about getting out there and looking for a job. I know next year things will be a lot different. Marcia 251/235.5/130

Things will be wonderful! I stayed home with my kids for 10 years and just last year went back to work full time outside of the house and it has been wonderful. My life has changed in so many ways and I have grown in leaps and bounds, emotionally! My time with my boys was so precious to me and I'm so grateful that I had the opportunity, even if it was a struggle financially, it was so worth it to me! And now being at work is wonderful too. And I got so lucky, my job is a mile from the school and the house and my boss is flexible so I can put my boys on the bus in the morning and work an extra 15 minutes in the afternoon to make up for it AND I leave work and pick them up right from the afterschool program which is very reasonably priced, so I've been blessed in many ways! Hugs, Vi

I want to have a baby. I am seeing an infertility doctor for it but stopped when I was laid off. I was told that my infertility is due to my weight. 1) sometime next year to try and have a child. If I can't, then I will adopt, they need loving parents as well. 2) getting better jobs. I always interviewed well, but I think my appearance hurt, as I never got any of the jobs. Now watch out, I'm going to get 1. 3) Travel, I used to ask for a seat belt extension, now I'll be able to fit in a regular seat 4) My dream since I was 11 was to go to Hollywood and become rich & famous, who knows dreams can come true 30+yrs later.
