Hi Dolores...that's an excellent question..I have no idea of the right answer but I'm guessing you can never have too many liquids...but just to be in the safe side ask your doctor...lucky you! are you talking about 4 gallons a day??

I DRINK ALL DAY LONG & FLUIDS JUST SEEM TO RUN RIGHT THROUGH MY POUCH. I HONESTLY DON'T KNOW IF I'M "FULL" BECAUSE I'M NEVER HUNGRY & DON'T EVER HAVE AN "EMPTY" FEELING. DO YOU DRINK THE 16 OZ ALL AT ONE TIME, MS DOLORES? GOD BLESS YOU DAWN & NICK

My Dr. has told me not to drink more than 6 ounces in an hour for the first several weeks. (but, he wants me drinking 4-6 ounces EVERY hour that i'm awake. My surgeon is definitely on the conservative side, though. I'm still on liquids (surgery just over 2 weeks ago) and then I'll be on pureed foods for another two weeks before I can have ANY solid foods.... Kate
