Eating and Timing
Well,
you have to remember, I am a revision. My Dr only took my pouch down to 100cc or 3.5oz and he didn't touch my stoma. So, plain and simple, I can hold more. Your pouch is probably less that 30cc or 1oz. I probably will still lose lot's of weight because my 2nd revision made my intestine pretty close to distal.
Hugs,
Dawn
Hi Kristine,
This is how my schedule is set up.
8am -egg and some cheese
9am-8oz of liquid
10am- 2 oz of cottage cheese
11am - 8 oz water
noon-2 oz tuna with fat free mayp
2pm- 8oz soy milk( I don't drink Skim)
3pm- 8oz kool aid made with splenda
5pm-2 slices of deli turkey
6pm-8 oz of liquid
7pm 1 slice of fat free cheese
8pm 8 oz water
10pm= 8oz of milk
it equals 515 calories, 64 protein, 9 grams of fat.
I can't do all that. I do as much as I can. I vary with the plan some. I may do sea food salad instead of tuna or cottage cheese, or 2 oz ground turkey. . Even if your not hungry take a few bites to keep on schedule. You may want to have 1 protein shake per day to help increase protein intake. I got all this info from my nutrition guide that my nutritionist gave me. It's been like my bible.
Whatever you choose to do. I wish you much luck.

Wow Lisa! That's great! I can't wait until I am on the solid foods. I will definitely keep you schedule and use it to my advantage. You have some great advice. I will be going to my nutritionist on Friday when I see my surgeon. I have a binder that they gave us before surgery, but it's kind of generic. I use it a lot when I am not sure about something, though.
Thanks!
Kristine
