I am not losing why?
I have lost 21 lbs. in 5 weeks, but 2 of those weeks I lost nothing. I have been exercising a lot though and I feel like I'm due for some more lbs. to come off. If it weren't for all the nausea I think I would be able to get in more protein & water, but I'm not there yet. I'm just waiting for the magic 8 weeks post-op day. It is supposed to get better then right???

Jane,
The same thing happened to me. I lost about 20# in the first two weeks, then nothing in the third week. It has started coming off again. I think two things were happening - one I had been so dehydrated that it took a while for my body to get its fluids back. Two - my intestines were empty and stayed empty with the clear liquid diet, but with any sort of real food, there is more in there. I don't know about you, but my bowel prep made me lose 8 pounds the night before the surgery. At any rate - I am back to 5 - 7 pound a week weight loss pace. Also, I've heard that some light weight lifting can help. Good luck!
