Viactiv Chews?

I went out today and purchased these to get in my calcium because GNC has been out of my chewables for a week . The serving says 1, I was told by a friend to double it but one only has 200 mg calcium and I need 12 to 1500, taking 7 a day would be way to much, what should I do? viactiv has calcium carbonate not the citrate. As post ops we absorb the carbonate better. Taking the viactiv is better than going without, in my opinion. Is it too sugary for you? I was told to stay away from foods that had sugar (or any derivitive of) in the first three ingredients. Heather 2days until I'm a month post-op Down 23lbs officially!

we absorb citrate better. I'm blaming my brain farts on the anesthesia still. I should have proofed the post. Sorry guys!!

Viactiv chewable calcium is what my program actually recommends for the first month. They do tell you to double it up (one with lunch, one with dinner). While I know it is carbonate, not citrate, nevertheless, at least one place out there (mine) thinks it's ok!

I love Vivactiv Chews, but I was also told that we needed citrate and not carbonate (which is what Vivactiv is) so I haven't been using my Vivactiv anymore. I saw they also make a multi vitamin...those would be sooooo much yummy than the green stuff I drink!
