I finally worked out "for real"!
Hey everyone,
I just came from the Y, where I signed up for a free personal trainer.
Today I did a 1 hour water aerobics class (for arthritics...but still very challenging), swam 16 laps, walked 20 minutes on the treadmill (started slow at 1.5mph and ended up at 2.5mph), and then did 5 minutes on the stationary bikes.
I'm going to be terribly sore tomorrow, but for now I feel great. I worked out for almost 2 hrs straight!
Plus the best part....they have a medical scale in the locker room that I forgot about. I now have somewhere to weigh myself that is actually accurate! I'm down another 3 lbs! 19 since surgery, 26 total!
I can't go tomorrow cause there is no school on Fridays for my son, plus we have his IEP meeting (idividualized education plan) in the morning. I don't know if I mentioned it, but my son has some developmental delays. We have to set his goals for the next year.

Congrats on your working out. I just went back to Curves today and it felt so good.
Great weight loss 26lbs. Keep up the treadmill workout, it's one of the best forms of exercise, and keep up the swimming, it's the best possible exercise to do as you work almost every muscle in your body.
As you work out more, you may not lose alot of weight but instead you could lose inches. I found that out. But no matter how your workouts go, keep it up and do a bit more every time you go, don't overdue.
