can someone explain to me about the protein supplements? i am confused. i was given a sheet from the doctor with protein supplements suggestions. the sheet says that i am suppossed to have 70-90 gms of protein a day. i went through the sheet and picked one (ProMod) cause it has no taste and can be added to foods. when i got home with it-it says one scoop in 5 gms of protein. i know i will get some protein from my food intake but not much so how much of this stuff is ok to take? any other suggestions to meet this protein intake level? i would greatly appreciate any help!

Hi Kevin, Glad to hear you are doing better. My surgeon has his food guide on the web which might help you: http://www.obesity-surgery-associates.com/foodguides.htm My best source of protein so far has been tuna (3 oz finely chopped with a little lite mayo) with 25 grams of protein. I also bought this supplement to help boost my protein intake, but I should warn you it's not real tasty, however 2 tbsp has 15 grams of protein and I can choke the 2 tbsp down quick! http://www.vitacost.com/TwinlabCherAminoProteinLiquid/searchby-PN/searchtext-twinlab%20protein
