Celia, don't worry, you will be able to eat real food soon! Here's what I had: B- 1 scrambled egg with a little melted shredded cheese L- 3 oz tuna with a little lite mayo and 2 crackers S- 2 oz protein shake blended with milk and 1/4 banana D- 1/2 small potato from beef stew, mashed up with the broth of the stew I definitely need to try and get in a second snack. Maybe cottage cheese or yogurt. Exercise: up and down the stairs is it for now! Vitamins: 1 liquid multi, 1 calcium, 1 B12, also squeezed in one tbsp of the liquid protein for good measure.. BLEH Water: Only about 30 oz -- still need to work on that one tends to make my tummy sick and I used to drink a gallon a day!

Today is the first day I managed to eat 3 full meals, usually I only have 2, so this is the breakdown Breakfast-1 scrambled egg with 1 oz reduced fat cheese crumbles, and 1 oz fat free garlic refried beans Lunch-1 oz 1% cottage cheese, 1 oz pureed green beans (baby food), and 1 oz pureed apple/ham (baby food) Dinner-4 lowfat 5cheese filled raviolis (don't know how many ounces), 1 oz eggplant relish (dipping sauce for ravioli), 1 oz unsweetened applesauce. No snacks. The dietician said they were a no-no. 64 oz liquids including water, green tea, crystal light, Isopure. Did you exercise? I wish...does reading count? Take your Vitamins? Yes-2 childrens chewables (don't start regular vitamins until after 1st month) Sheryl

WOW you are so lucky they are letting you have ravioli and dipping sauce already!! I'm jealous!! It sounds delicious. I wonder why she doesn't want you snacking? I know that "grazing" is discouraged because it's too easy to overeat that way later on, but how are you supposed to get in enough food (protein) right now? I love green tea, but all the ones I use (I love the lipton mix and go) have caffeine and I was told if I had something with caffeine I had to drink more water to compensate since caffeine is a diuretic. Everyone seems to have different advice... kind of makes the head spin huh? Vi

Vi, The ravioli was fabulous. If you ever get to Sams Club, I got it there. The eggplant dip I bought on my own. I had spaghetti w/lt soy sauce the other day, but I haven't really wanted a tomato sauce (but they make no sugar added sauces now). The eggplant was from the organic food section of the grocery store, and the dietician said it was okay as long as I chewed it really well, especially the seeds. When I went in to the dietician she didn't say anything was wrong with the lipton green tea to gos as long as they were sugar free. Plus I seem to be cold all the time so I'm having a lot of hot green tea. Green tea has almost no caffeine, plus it helps support weight loss. But more importantly, I just like it better than regular tea. I've given up sugar, I've given up smoking, I've given up all carbonated drinks, I've given up alcohol. I draw the line at green tea. YOU MADE MY DAY!! I had given up my green tea to go and I have 2 boxes in the house. Now that I am having such a hard time getting enough fluid, I'm going back to it!! Plain water tastes kind of weird to me so I haven't been drinking as much as I used to PRE OP! (I used to guzzle a gallon a day!) By the way, I've been all over eBay ordering Swarovski crystal beads and they should be here any day now. Can't wait to make more stuff! THANKS FOR THE TIPS!! Vi

Hi all, I am still in my fluid stage. I am just dying. I usually drink 2 8oz protein shakes per day (25 gm protein ea.) and 1 Healthwise fruit drink with 15 gm protein. I am still having trouble getting all of my water in but I am working on it. I don't like the Broth because it makes me feel dehydrated. The hardest time I have is dinner time for my family. The smells just sometimes overwhelm me and I just wish I could have a bite. Every day is one more day down. 5 more days till I can eat something. I think that the first thing that I will try is Eggs.
