Well I had my appt with the nutritionist this morning and fessed up to starting week 3 a little early. She said it was totally fine. I'm still losing really slowly, I'm down 16 lbs from surgery, which is just over a lb/day averaged out. I've lost 2.5 lbs since Friday (4 days) so it's not really evenly spaced, but I've gone down 2 sizes in shirts and 1 size in pants already and my face looks thinner to me. She added up my food intake from the last week and found that I'm getting between 400-600 calories/day. She said that's good for now but I should get it up to 600-800 in the next few weeks. She said if I finish out the rest of this week ****il Saturday cause I started early) and I tolerate all the foods on my list, I could move on to the weeks 5-6 foods! That means meat and crackers and toast and all kinds of good stuff. I have another appt in 2 weeks (one month from surgery) and she said if I've tolerated everything fine I won't have any more food restrictions. Whooohooo! The one thing that was negative was my water intake. Some days I get the whole 64, others I get like 40, so I have to work on that. Plus she said I only need 1 Isopure or 1.5 protein shakes per day, since I'm getting so much protein in food now. All in all a great appt. I just wish I would lose more quickly (don't we all). Sheryl

I'm glad to hear that because I also started week 3 early and honestly I feel much better since I did! I have the same water issues as you do -- I guess it will come in time? Vi

Wow, it sounds like you're doing great, my name-sake friend! Don't worry about the speed of weight loss; the long term consistency of your diet is more important. Don't wish for a crash diet. I had to sneak food from the "future" as well; I could not get enough protein. Now that I"m home, I'm drinking a different protein shake and can cope with this one, though I don't really enjoy it. The others were repulsive to me. (Unjury, Isopure, and Protica... blech) I figured if I had a small taste, and it didn't cause a problem, I could try a little more. So far, my "cheating" has been restricted to cottage cheese, poached eggs, and 1 jar of baby food pureed turkey, all of which sat just fine with me. I eat incredibly slowly and chew the food until it's a pulp. Keep focusing on tha****er, it's so important for health. I need to do the same. Sheryl
