Hi everyone well I made it to the losing side. I don't feel to bad. I figured I would feel much worse then this. My left side Incisions bother me the most, and the Gas sucks I had one evening of really bad gas in the hospital. I didn't realize how bad that could make you feel. I'm still using my pain med., and trying to get as much liquid as possible in. I do get tired easy and find my self dowsing off a lot. But considering what my body has gone through I feel very lucky. I hope every one is doing good Karen

Welcome Back Karen, Obviously you have come through with flying colours. I know what you mean about the gas pains. I remember reading about others experiences with it, but it really doesn't hit home until you go through it yourself. Fortunately, for me anyway, it was short lived. Two to three days at the most. However, I understand it is worse for Lap patients as opposed to those that have had open proceedures. If you're taking naps......then obviously your body needs them. Don't fight it. You have been through a lot and this is one way your body has of recovering. Take care of yourself, Diana 331/306/1/anything less

Welcome home and best wishes for your speedy recovery. I was a bit gassy too, but it passed. Only take in as muhc liquid as you can get in, don't over do it. Get plenty of rest you will need it. Again, Congrats and welcome home. Keep us informed. Lisa J

Karen, Welcome home! I had terrible gas after my procedure too. I still do sometimes. I think the left side incision is the one they had the drain in, right? That is just starting to really scab over for me almost 2 weeks out. I didn't have any stitches, just steristrips which fell off. The pain gets a lot better pretty soon, so hand in there. And take as many naps as you need. You deserve them. Sheryl
