I am 9 days post-op and I have a pain there as well. My surgeon told me it is probably nothing, but if it doesn't go away then he will want me to have a cat scan. It could maybe just a pulled muscle or something. If you still have it in a few days call your surgeon and let him/her know of the pain . Hope this helps. Lisa J

Could be a muscle, maybe you need to lie down and relax more, you might be working yourself too hard now that you are feeling better? I've done stuff like that in the past! GOOD luck and feel better! Vi

Hey you guys thanks so much. I thought that was it too. I think its a pulled muscle. I just wanted someone else thoughts on it. So I wouldnt worry so much. Thanks a bunch. I went to the Dr yesterday to remove the drain and I had losed 23 pds. I am so happy I had this done. Wish I had done it years ago. Vi I am sooooo glad to see you didnt so great and feeling good. I knew we were gonna be fine.

I had this too, sometime during the first week (but I've slept since then, even though it was only less than a month ago, so I've forgotten exactly when). I found that if I walked too fast, or too long without resting, or drank things that had ice in them, it was worse. I'm drinking mostly room temperature or warm things now, and I haven't had it, if I watch that and how much exercise I'm getting. Not that I don't walk, I do, but I try to keep it sensible (not always easy for me!).

I have the pain now. I've been on the phone with my surgeon and he said this can happen. The pain is no where near any of my sites. My temp is normal and the pain is so bad when I stand up or move but sitting it does go away. But I can't get up or down. This has been a big pain but I'm trying to just relax and hopefully it will pass in the next day or so but right now its terrible so if anyone is having it here is a big HUG

If it's any consolation (sp?) to anyone out there with this, once this pain stopped, it never has come back. Like Jane, my pain was nowhere near any incision, but I figured it could be referred pain. We've all been through a lot, and I think it's just part of the normal healing. I also mentioned it to my surgeon (they are very into pain control in the office), but he seemed to think it was fairly normal. I *still* have a ton of the pain med prescription I was sent home with, and if got really bad, I guess I would take one. This past weekend, I over did my exercise, and I woke up on Monday as sore as the day I came home. I took a pain med then, for the first time since the day after I got home.
