Optifast, day 1 completed!
MY SURGEON DOESN'T REQUIRE A LIQUID DIET, BUT I'VE BEEN MOVING OVER MORE TO LIQUIDS & HIGH-PROTEIN FOR THE LAST WEEK OR SO. THE FUNNY THING IS I'M NEVER THIRSTY ... NOT EVEN IN SUMMER FOR THE MOST PART ... BUT, NOW THAT I'M CHANGING MY DIET, I'M THRISTY ALL THE TIME. HAVE YOU GOTTEN THIRSTIER, MS LISAMARIE?
GOD BLESS YOU DAWN & NICK
I really have not gotten thirstier, but i am making myself drink alot more water. I was never a big water drinker but i do not want to find myself dehydrated following surgery. I use crystal lite alot, its a good way to ge****er in. I really want to have my surgery lap and i am doing exactly what the doc wants. I have alot of scar tissue from all of my previous surgeries and i dont want to have to be opened. If i am hydrated and stick to my optifast my liver will be in good shape as well. You say you are thirsty all the time? Are you going to the bathroom alot as well. DO you have any history of diabetes? Your blood sugars could be bouncing around and causing you to be thirsty. What kind of liquids are you drinking, if it is soup or broth, check the salt in it, high salt will make you thirsty also. I hope that helps a little, Feel free to email me anytime....
OUUUUUUUU, GOOD INFO ... I GET NAUSEATED ON JUS****ER SO I DO THE CRYSTAL LIGHT & MINUTE MAID LIGHT DRINKS + ISOPURE. YEP, I HAVE STARTED SOUPS ... DIDN'T THINK OF THE SALT.
YES, I'M GOING POTTY A LOT MORE ... MORE TIMES & MORE AMOUNT.
I WAS BORDERLINE DIABETIC A COUPLE YEARS AGO ... I STILL HAVE MY GLUCOMETER SO I'LL TEST MY BLOOD.
YES, I HAVE A 12" GALL BLADDER SCAR THEY NEED TO GO THROUGH ... OBVIOUS THE SURGERY WAS BEFORE LAP! ... SO, I'M IN THE SAME BOAT AS YOU ... DOIN' WHATEVER I CAN NOT TO HAVE OPEN.
THANKS FOR THE INFO, MS LISAMARIE!
GOD BLESS YOU DAWN & NICK
