For you week 1 post-ops
Crackers???? CRACKERS??? That's not on my list until weeks 4-6!!! I don't even get to have no sugar added baby food until week 3. I can't wait until I can have a yummy crispy cracker. I can have 1/4 piece of toast that week too-with butter spray. Mmmmmm.
For now I'm just excited for C of W and pudding.

Hey Sheryl. It sounds like you are doing well. I believe one week is one week after surgery. I don't know how you like Cream of Wheat, but I am on full liquids now (pre-op) and I put butter and splenda in it. Gives it a good flavor. It has helped me get through 11 days of full liquids. Shame on your hubby!!! You should make him eat it outside. Right now I am just making sure I cook everyday. It's easier for me to pass on my cooking than having him get something take-out.

Marcia,
I didn't give him permission to get pizza. He just did it. In fact, he ate EVERY meal take out or delivery last week. Pizza 3X. He does all the cooking in our house (I have horrific back problems), so I couldn't really stop him. I screamed at him about the money he was wasting, but then I shut up real quick because I realized how much protein drinks are costing me.
He told me he was eating out all the time because it was stressful week for him. HELLO....I've just had surgery and I have PNEUMONIA to boot. He doesn't even begin to understand stressful. He says it's because he has to watch our almost 4 yr old more because I can't. But that didn't stop him from leaving yesterday for 13 HOURS to go to the Iowa Hawkeyes homecoming game and go out with friends after. I looked after my son without any help and I did a good job of it too. Just like always. Men......so stupid sometimes. (sorry to all you guys out there...but you know it's true)
Sorry...got off on a rant. Good luck with your surgery.
Sheryl
