Sample Protein Packets?
I just had my surgery this past Monday and have been reluctant to buy a huge bucket of protein because I was warned that just because I liked it before I may not like it now...and I've heard several people mention they got smaller packages just to try...where's a good place to find these...just the health food store? And, if anyone has an all time favorite brand, flavor, etc. fill me in please! Thanks Ya'll!
Hiya, as you can see, I had my surgery one week before yours. Just this evening, I ordered samples from Unjury (www.unjury.com), since so many people on these boards seem to recommend the brand. It comes in several flavors, and unflavored, so I ordered 2 chocolate, 2 vanilla, and one unflavored. I'm hoping to get the unflavored into a broth, so I can get some protein that way.
Good luck, and I'll be watching for other answers .
I've tried a few and the one I like is carb solutions chocolate powder and it's also the cheapest I tried! $9 a can at Target or amazon.com
I also like the ready to drink Isopure Zero Carb in Alpine Punch or Apple Melon. A lot of people don't like them though, but I'm one of the rare few that do!
I've heard a lot of people like Unjury, by the way! I bought Designer Whey to add to broths and other things (unflavored) but I can't always get it to mix well, especially in hot things.

Hi Kate!
Bariatriceating.com sells samples that are pretty decent. I prefer the nectar whey protein samples. I also love the Isopure zero carb drinks from GNC. They are kinda pricey 3.75 a bottle of pre made, but man oh man they taste good. Especially the grape frost, kinda like a grape kool-aid. I also use the designer whey protien ( strawberry and chocolate) and they aren't to bad.
Good Luck!

I've been doing Carb Conscious carnation instant breakfast ready to drink no sugar added with Splenda 4-pack. I like them alot . They have both vanilla and chocolate. They also sell 8 packets for about $4.29 and they are good too. I can't drink the packets because it has nutrasweet and it gives me migraines.
You could also go to Wal-Mart and get EAS advantage ready to drink as well. I like the strawberry and vanilla creme. They come in a 4 pack as well.
Best of luck,

Hi Kate!
First of all, congratulations on your surgery and welcome to the losing side!
I'm about 11 weeks post-op and currently the only protein that I tolerate is the Revival Soy Protein. I've tried the unjury unflavored and the chocolate. I'm not too big on those. I've tried Matrix Vanilla (didn't like it); and also some liquid proteins I got at GNC and gagged on them.
Revival has a variety packet that comes with eight (8) individual shake packets in your choice of three sweetener options: Fructose, Splenda or unsweetened. Flavors: Chocolate Daydream?, Vanilla Pleasure?, Strawberry Smile?, Cappuccino Comfort?, Just Peachy!?, Banana Blessings?, Strawberry Banana Bliss?, and Blueberry Blush?. Each serving (1 packet) has 20g of protein, and 0 cholesterol. The Carbs are about 4g for the unsweetened and the splenda type, and about 33g for the fructose ones.
I ordered the unsweetened ones and so far so good. The only ones I have yet to try are the Blueberry Blush and the Banana Blessings. The rest are all so delicious. They're a bit pricey, but they're worth it. The eight pack variety packet is $14.95. They also have protein bars, baked pasta soy chips (I love these!), and other protein products. Congrats on your surgery. I am 1 1/2 weeks post-op and have found the only protein drink I can tolerate is Cool Melon Splash from protica. They have a sample four pack you can buy to try to see if like any of the flavors. Each sample is 25 protein, 0 fat, 0 carbs. You can order from their store at http://www.protica.com. Good luck.
