Surgery update

Hi, I had surgery on October 4. Thought things were good. I got to go home on Wednesday, the 5th. I wasn't feeling very well, but thought, "Hey, I just had surgery!" I ended up back in the hospital Thursday evening because my blood count was down to 5. I had to have 4 units of blood from Thursday night to Friday morning. Of course getting an IV started took over two hours. On Saturday afternoon my hand swelled up like a beach ball. The IV had to be taken out and a pic line put in. It was so nice when they didn't have to poke me anymore for blood tests. It is now Saturday and today is the first day I have felt pretty good. My blood count isn't normal yet, but is holding its own. Things are looking good. Tuesday I go for my first two week post op appointment. Looking forward to seeing what is the next step.
