Jitters and some not so good thoughts
Tina~
Two days before surgery I was up and looking for a reason to put my life on the line like this. I prayed for hours. Then I remembered my one rebuttal to people who had kept pestering me about the surgery. "The risks of staying this size are greater than the risks of surgery."
I did get nervous again in the pre-op holding area. I asked for the versed early. It calmed me down a little. I don't remember but a flash right after surgery (I'm sure they knocked me back out.. I was moving too much), a flash at 630pm (DH and daughter visited for 15 minutes), flash at 1030pm (Nurse told me I would be walking before I slept again) .. I really didn't like her that first night. The first ten days are a lot of work. That's one of the biggest humps. Pray, and think about the reasons you wanted this when you consulted the surgeon.
