Hello Everyone! I just wanted to say thank-you for all of your inspiring comments and suggestions that you have given me. Today is already kind of challenging. This is my first day of starting my pre-op clear liquids phase. I am extremely hungry. I've been trying to stay full with liquids, but it's difficult. My strategy is to keep my mind from not remembering that it's hungry? Any suggestions?!? Thanks a million. P.S. Please continue to keep my in your prayers for a successful surgery on Monday, October 10, 2005.

brandy, hiya! i can relate to being hugry on the liquid diet thing. my surgeon has me on a 3 WEEK CLEAR LIQUID DIET!!!! i started mine on oct 1st and i have surgery on the 21st. whew! the 1st couple days r hard but try sipping the broth or drink really slowly. it gives u time to feel full. ive also 'ate' my broth with a spoon. takes longer and again i actually feel full after a bowl. can u have popsicles? if so that helps to give u something to 'chew' on. thats what has worked for me--besides no****ching regular tv. (all those food commercials!!) good luck with ur surgery monday!!!! many prayers to u for a speedy recovery. lisa
