October 17th Surgery
Congrats! My surgery was rescheduled but I'm hoping it will happen on or around the 17th as well.
I have a protein mix that I've been using for about a year that I really like called "Carb Solutions" (chocolate) and it's about $9 a can.
Other than that I stocked up on broth, jello and sugar free pudding. I also got an unflavored protein powder called "Designer Whey" that I can add to soups and cream of wheat for the puree stage.
The other thing I purchased on line is a protein drink called "profecta" -- it's sold at www.protica.com and it's kind of pricey, but the 2.7 oz drink provides 25 grams of protein and I think that will be really helpful for the first couple of post op weeks when it's hardest to get in your protein. I tasted 2 of the flavors and they were fine -- not that I would run out of my way to have it under normal cir****tances, but I think it will be good for the it's purpose.

Where did you find the unflavored designer whey? I couldn't find it anywhere around here.. I tried Wal-Mart, Albertsons and GNC (WAY TO HIGH) Also where do you get your chocolate protein?
Which flavor of the protica protein do you like? I thought about getting some for right after surgery as well. I figure a dose that small would be fairly easy, better than 8 ozs...
http://store.bariatriceating.com/ HAS "ALL WHEY" WHICH IS UNFLAVORED PROTEIN POWDER. IT IS EASILY MIXED & DIGESTED.
I THOUGHT I'D TRY THE PROTICA AS WELL FOR THE SAME REASON YOU STATED!
GOD BLESS YOU DAWN & NICK
