Is anyone on the 7 day pre-op Opti-fast drinks, if so how are you getting them down? They are just terrible and I am thinking of putting one in a large fountain diet pop (I know I cannot have carbonation after surgery). Any ideas??

I have to be on a liquid diet for 2 weeks prior to surgery. I know it's going to be very hard!

Hi meg, well today is my 1st day of 3 for just jello and apple juice or 7up. I am having the grumbles badly, but i keep thinking of the outcome and things will be over soon. Im not sure of the opti-fast drink my doctor didnt say nothing to me about that. Kendra

Meg - does it have to be optifast? ask them if it can be another protein drink - the EAS are much better but not sure if they are trying t ocontrol something. Good luck - I have spent hte last 3+ weeks on a low carb high protein mostly liquid diet pre-surgery. today is the all clear liquids day as I am scheduled for surgery tomorrow at 12:30pm.. like one of the posts below says - think of the outcome... I have lost 28lbs since starting this journey and i hvaen't had surgery yet - so day by day this fat will come off!! hang in there- its not easy - but in the end I have total faith that it will be all worth it.. God Bless..
