Hello all, my surgery is next thursday October 13th. We can all do this. Dont be afraid, its easier to have the surgery then it is to continue being overweight and out of breath and not able to enjoy life to the fullest. I had my stomach stapled in 1988 and was so scared, didnt have any type of support groups, no computer for me then, and no one to talk to. Well, today we have computers and support groups to go to and can get the information that we need. Surgery was really easy for me, no problems. The most important thing to remember in my opinion is get up and walk often as soon as you can. The more you move the better you feel and the quicker you heal and the faster you lose. So just keep a positive attitude and you all will be fine. Good luck October friends. Denise

Because the stomach stapling did not last, the doc i have now said that stomach stapling isnt as long term as by pass. I lost 118 pds in 11 1/2 months and then a year later got pregnant, lost most of baby and then over the yrs gained some back, but in the past 3 yrs I have gained over 70 pds, dont ever feel full, but throw up alot. Have a hole in stomach also, so it will be repaired also. Good luck to you also. denise
