Roll Call...
Hi Everyone....So how is everyone doing now that we are officially in our MONTH? I definately have been counting the days and cannot wait until tomorrow when I drop to the single digit countdown of days. We all have to watch over one another this month and I am really looking forward to the posts of everyone who is scheduled ahead of me. Best wishes for all and a speedy recovery for all of us! Mary
I'm up on Friday. Trying to get the bills paid and anything "urgent" in order for the husband. I'm not nervous about the surgery -- I'm just a control freak and had a big anxiety attack the last time I went under anethstesia. I'm starting to get that anxiety sensation back again. Drat! Time to meditate.
IF YOUR HOSPITAL ALLOWS IT, TAKE A SMALL HAND-HELD CD PLAYER & HEADSET & PUT IN A SOOTHING, CALMING CD TO LISTEN TO AS YOU ARE GOING TO SURGERY & GOING OFF TO SLEEP. IT WILL GIVE YOU SOMETHING TO FOCUS ON & KEEP YOU CALMER. STUDIES HAVE SHOWN THAT PATIENTS LISTENING TO CALMING MUSIC IN SURGERY DO MUCH BETTER THAN THOSE WHO DO NOT HAVE SOMETHING CALMING TO LISTEN TO.
GOD BLESS YOU DAWN & NICK
