Time for a new ROLL CALL: What are all the OCTOBERITES up to?
Hi Everyone~
I'm in my last week before surgery. This time next Thursday, I'll be sitting in the admissions department waiting to go to the OR. All of my pre-op work was done last week. I met with my physician on Tuesday and he even called me yesterday to tell me he had my abdominal u/s reports (not in my chart Tuesday). My cupboard is packed and I am getting my protein and vitamins in. I'm hoping to get my house clean this weekend. That would take such a huge weight off.
My nerves are hiding. They will show their ugly face. It's funny how I look at Old Navy or any other store and think.. Hey I might look cute in that outfit soon. LOL!! I have bought my fist goal outfit. It's a size 12/14 skirt and top and a 11/13 t-shirt that says stop staring.
I'm more nervous about the post-op barium and the central line than I am about the actual surgery. Heck.. I'm normally awake w/ c-sections. So this will be a nice change. LOL!!

Hi Octoberites,
Well, Monday's the day. Tuesday of this week I took off work and went to have my preop stuff done and my pre-registration for the hospital. It really gave me a reality check. This is happening on MONDAY! Not next month, not next week, but in 4 days.
I'm so ready for this. I get bigger and bigger every year. If I don't do it now, I'll just be that much bigger, heavier, and sicker. I'm big, heavy and sick enough to do it now.
I can say that 235 is going to be my highest weight. I'll NEVER weigh any more than that, ever. That's enough for me.
Here are the things I'm looking forward to doing.
1. Being able to tie my shoes.
2. Being able to look in the mirror without crying.
3. Being in front of the camera again. I am very adept at never having my picture taken.
4. Zipping up a pair of jeans. No more stretchy pants for me.
5. Not hearing people say, "But you have such a beautiful face."
6. Having people ask me if I've lost weight, and really mean it.
7. Cutting my own toenails.
8. Not having sore feet all the time.
9. Taking a bath in the bathtub.
10. Being able to get up from the floor without groaning.
11. Being healthy.
12. Not being hungry all the time.
There are many more things, but this post is already too long. See y'all on the other side!
