ROLL CALL!
Cindy you had a great idea, so I'm going to start it today (seeing as I am up TOO late again)!
How is everyone doing today?
9 days and counting for me!!! I'm going on autopilot! Trying not to think TOO much as my closet friends telling me I can think myself into hysteria sometimes!
Ok, time to get some zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz's... talk to you all in the morning!
A very sleepy, Vi
What kind of protein shakes and products have you tried and liked?
So far for me Carb Solutions Rich Chocolate seems to be the only one but I know there must be more out there! I just hate to waste more money. (FYI Carb Solutions is about $9 a can...VERY reasonable!) I drink it with milk and a banana and ice in the blender though... don't know if that will be possible as a new post op...
I also like the ISOPURE Zero Carb Alpine Punch and Apple Melon (ready to drink) because let's face it, I like the idea of not having to mix anything and just being able to take this 20 oz bottle (with 40 grams of protein) wherever I go. They taste ok to me, but I know some people don't like them.
I want to stock up on high protein stuff before my surgery because I know it'shard to get that protein in and I don't want to just sip on broth and jello when I could be sipping on protein!
Would love to try a protein pudding if they aren't gross!
Let me know if anyone has tried anything good that's high in protein!
Thanks!
Vi
Hi Octoberites,
T minus 8 days and counting. My hubby and I will go down to Long Beach, CA the night before because we live 2 hours from there.
I've been trying protein samples. I ordered some and they're either delicious, "okay", or "blech." I found Nectar tea, not to my liking. The best thing about the samples is that I'm only stuck with one of something. I can get an idea of what I like or don't without committing to something I'll hate.
I tried to order Stallone Protein Pudding, but the Stallone website was acting funny. I'm going to buy fat-free, sugar free instant pudding and add Unjury unflavored to it. That ought to do it.
I tried the ISOPURE. It made my tongue all icky. I liked the taste, but I can't get past that fuzzy tongue - ack.
Well, it's getting close now. All advice is welcome. Thanks for being out there.
