That is REALLY helpful... thanks for posting this! I think within the next week or two I will be getting things together for the big day... I get butterflies when I think about it because I am so excited! And I have to say, as of RIGHT NOW, I am not scared one bit. I am confident things will go the way they are supposed to, I have no worries. Now ask me the day before surgery, that may change!

GOOD LIST MS CYNDI ... THOSE MOUTHWASH TABS THAT MELT IN YOUR MOUTH MAY BE MORE CONVENIENT THAN LIQUID MOUTHWASH. IF YOUR HOSPITAL ALLOWS IT (MUSC IN CHARLESTON, SC ENCOURAGES IT), BRING YOUR OWN DAILY MEDICATIONS TO SAVE ON COST & BE SURE THAT THERE ARE NO MISTAKES MADE. BRING YOUR CANE, WALKER & C-PAP MACHINE (YOURS WILL BE CORRECTLY SET UP FOR YOUR NEEDS). MAYBE A BOOK ... I'VE HEARD THAT SUSAN MARIE LEACH'S "BEFORE & AFTER" & "EXODUS FROM OBESITY" (Don't know the author) ARE GOOD". &&&&&&, BEST OF ALL ... BRING CLOTHES TO WEAR HOME!!!!!!!!! GOD BLESS ... DAWN & NICK

So glad we have a group of 10/4 folks! We are such a neat bunch of people!! Can;t wait for us all to be home again after surgery! I thought of one more thing -- at our hospital because of the privacy laws, each patient is given an I.D. number to give to people who YOU want to be able ask about you.....be SURE to write it down and share it with your support person or whoever may be asking about you after surgery.... At our hospital, staff can't give out any information to anybody without that number, not even husbands, children, or parents. Find out if your hospital requires any such I.D. so your support people can ask about you and find you post-op!

Just found out I may be bumped to the 5th... they may not have an asisstant available on the 4th. And you definately need one of those haha! No worries though... the 4th, the 5th, either is fine with me. I wont know for sure for a few days. I am getting so excited! All pre-op is done as well... and they expect no worries with my insurance company. We're almost there!!!!!!!

IT'S SO AMAZING THAT THEY HAVE A MEDICAL TOOL FOR THOSE OF US WHO HAVE STRUGGLED FOR SO LONG! WHAT OCCURS AT PRE-OP I HAVEN'T HAD THAT YET ... MY SURGEON WAITS FOR INSURANCE APPROVAL BEFORE SCHEDULING IT. GOD BLESS DAWN & NICK

Woo Hoo!! I am on the 4th too!! 2 weeks from tommorow! I am so excited, as I know y'all are! One thing I am bringing with me to the is an audiobook/music and a walkman CD player. I don't know if I'll feel up to reading alot. Most libraries have books on CD & tape that you can check-out. My husband also said he wants to get a laptop, so if the timing is right I will take that with me too...so that I can play some games and access the internet. Does anyone here have an Angel yet? I don't have one, but I don't really know anyone on the main message board that well, except for a gal I know from the draft horse world. I thought about asking her, but she is pre-op as well...plus I didn't know if it was suitable to actually ASK someone *LOL* Take care!!! 2 WEEKS AND COUNING!!!! ~Christy
