YAHOO!!! Surgery on October 3rd!

I am still in shock--insurance came back in about 24 hours and I now have a date. I'm excited, scared (of the pain), and impatient all at the same time. I've waited for years for this moment....and it's as sweet as I had imagined.

Hi Julie, I am a Julie also, and I too will be having my surgery on Oct. 3rd. I can't wait. I called my Dr.'s office today because I was originally scheduled for the 10th and they gave me the news, it is on the 3rd, I wanted to cry and jump at the same time. It hit me only about 2wks away and I know that they will be flying by. Thank God, I can not wait to be on the loosing side, I want to be a LOSER!!! I know how you feel I am scared and excited and I just want to crawl out of my skin (soon enough), but hang in there and I will keep in touch, maybe we can help eachother along the way.

Wow--how cool is this--two Julie's on practically opposite ends of the states having such a scary operation on the same day?!?!? I want to be a loser too--this waiting thing is about to drive me INSANE. I actually had a glass of wine last night and it was wonderful. My stomach is so tied up in knots, my shoulders are so tight and achy even though I'm trying 24/7 to relax. Are you having the same kinds of feelings? WHo is your support person? My husband is behind me and so are my mother and sister. My mom had this procedure done about 25 years ago so she's been there, done that and will be babysitting me in and out of the hospital. Plus, she'll be here with my 7 yr old daughter, Carmen. Carmen's pretty excited but she's so clingy, even now, that I think she won't let me out of her sight once I get home! What type of protein drinks are you trying? I just had a glass of cold skim milk mixed with UnJury chocolate and it is GOOOOD. I just mixed it with a spoon so it was a bit lumpy but I'm sure it will be even better in the blender. I've been too chicken to try drinking something with jus****er....gotta work on that this coming week. I have had Nectar mixed with Crystal Lite--YUM! It's late and if I get a call to substitute teach in the morning, my butt will be draggin'!! (I love these little things-ha!) Take care and keep in touch!
