I got my date! October 17th-woo hoo!!!

I am so thrilled! This seems to be taking forever because I am a very impatient person, but it all reality, I havent had any speed bumps...everything is going really well...the insurance approved me within 2 days of getting my information from my doctors. I have an appointment with the dietician on 9/12, then I'll have to schedule an appointment with the nurse, then shortly thereafter I'll have my surgery...thank you God!!!!

Congratulations! You are a day before me. I love the little dancing guys :> With the Wish Center, we have to do 6 weeks of prep and two weeks of liquid diet before surgery. Are you doing the same? H

Hi! Then only thing I have been told that I have to do is liquids for 5 days before the surgery. I meet with the dietician on the 12th, so I'm sure I'll learn more then. I'm really glad there's someone going so close to my date!! Are you getting nervous or just excited? I am not nervous at all...just anxiously awaiting feeling FULL!!! and dropping the weight - wee ha!!!

Congratulations to you too! I just love that there is a place like this for people to meet and offer support. Hopefully we will both be healthier and much smaller 1 year from October! It is so nice to finally have hope, and not just hope but a certainty that we will NEVER weigh this amount again!!!!

Congrats Melissa I too am October 17th. I am so excited and scared to death. I just picked up some loose fitting lounge type dresses and a robe that I am fixing for the hospital. I hate when you have to wear two hospital gowns. I can't wait to be on the loosing side.

That is great! FYI though, my hospital carries the 'regular' size, but in the maternity area it has size 8X which is MASSIVE!!! I know b/c I had to wear those when I was pregnant!! So check with them before shelling out money for something that you'll NEVER HAVE TO WEAR AGAIN because it will be TOO HUGE for you!!!!
