Surgery Date Oct 14th

I am getting anxious in a good way...not nervous way. I haven't seen my Dr since 1st evaluation 2 years ago. Back then I weighed 291 and he said I had to lose 25 pounds b4 surgery. I changed my mind and canceled surgery for 02/04. I lost 80 pounds last year and was down to 215 this Jan. 2005. Now I am up to about 260. So I really need to watch out. I may ask him when he is at Group Meeting next Sat. Sept 8th if I still need to be under the 266 mark. Why are some of you on a 2 week liquid diet b4 surgery? I only have liquid diet for 2 days b4 surgery. I would like to have a Angel assigne to me if possible. Could someone give me the details on how to do so? Got to go. Patricia in Ok

I'm told it is to shrink the liver before surgery - sounds like it is to make it easier to work around in there :> I am pre, so I can't be an angel. I guess it would be better to get the liver out of the way, especially for lap RNY's. H
