Hello Ladies
Wow, I just popped in to see how the old group was doing. How exciting to see all the wonderful changes in everyone. I read Wonder Woman's post about weight gain and hon, you are not alone, so many of us go through that. I bounce back and forth with the same 10-15 lbs, but I refuse to let it get the best of me! Hang in there, you know what it took to get here and you know it's a struggle, especially now, being that we are almost 2 years out!
Can you believe how much time has past and so quickly?
I've been enjoying my new life tremendously and yes I'm guilty of indulging a bit too much at times too!
I've had a lot of changes in my life since the surgery, most of them pretty wonderful and I'm so grateful to this new lease on life! I moved with my boys last Sept (after separating from my ex -- not surgery related and he and I are good friends now). I'm planning to go back to school next year for my MBA and I recently applied for a better job within my company and hopefully will be getting it next week. I've also been dating and things have been pretty terrific. I would have never had the confidence to do all that 2 years ago!
So keep plugging away ladies, life is wonderful and we deserve to be happy. Don't let those food demons get ya!!
Love,
Violet
Hello Violet, Good to see you. You look wonderfull!!!!My life too is so diffrent and wonderful. Every morning I wake up and wonder if t his fairy tale will be over. Being normal is hard. I too bounce up and down about 5 lbs. Old habbits will creep back. I am lucky I guess I still dump and I still have restriction with food. Are you still involved with the support group you were working with? My doctor has a group once a month and it is good. Anyway just wanted to say HI

I have to confess, I stopped being involved with the group back in October. It was becoming too much for me with everything else that I had going on at the time. I do keep in touch with them via our email group though and I see a few of the members from time to time.
I know what you mean about old habits. It's hard to fight those demons sometimes!

Hello Violet....... I understand about the weight thingy lol, i have been gaining 5 losing 5 lol. But i am happy and i am still trying to adjust to the skinny Vickie. I had to go and get my hair cut off again because i started losing it again. My doc said maybe around my 2 yr mark my body should be adjusted. I am happy with my surgery and i have worked my butt off to get to 117lbs but my good weight is 130lbs and that is where i am heading. I look a little sickly lol. But all in all life is great and i am still married and having fun..........take care and keep on being you and live life!!!!!
