Thankgiving = eating triggers
Thanksgiving is almost here, a holiday consecrated to eating. What are YOU going to do to keep your eating under control?
My strategies:
1) No alcohol on Thanksgiving. If I drink too much, I may eat too much.
2) Take a walk after the meal. Even if it is just a stroll, it will help boost my metabolism.
3) Eat Thanksgiving meal at someone else's house, so I don't have a refrigerator full of left-overs.
Good luck to us all!

Great strategies. I'm with you on all three counts, although one of my roommates will cook some food at our house. She's limiting our house to a small turkey breast, fresh collard greens, and a small pan of mashed potatoes. She'll also make sweet potato pie, but that's not my thing so I'm not worried about having it around.
I also decided to work the day after Thanksgiving - that will keep me from sitting around the house and snacking on leftovers.
Again, good luck to everyone - we'll need it!

Sheryl,
Great ideas. I don't drink anyway so I won't have to worry about that.
Going to my cousins so I won't have anything to bring home.
My gym is open 24-7 so I think I will go and get a workout before so this way I will feel better and not worry about what to eat as it won't be alot anyway.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving

Here's a weird one, I lost 5 lbs over thanksgiving week and I ate everything and as much as I wanted to. Granted I do dump so I stayed away from the sugar except for a bite here and there. I hadn't lost anything since August go figure I also made my first from scratch sugar free pumpkin (from our halloween pumpkin) and apple pies, I didn't tell anyone till they were done eating and nobody noticed
