The board has been so quiet lately. How is everyone doing. Any new Wow moments? Is every on still losing. I am at goal. My doctor said to stop that I am at a good weight. I had a little problem but nothing caused from my surgery just my wt. loss. My bowel had a twist and took out my GB. I was referred for plastics but my insurance Says" I have to be 18mths out. My Panni must hang lower than my pubic area. I need documentation of skin and I must maintain the same wt for 6mths. Also I have to have lost 100lbs. I have Anthem. My skin lays on my lap when I sit. Half way to my knees but when I standmy pubic is not totally covered. So I have to wait few more months. They only cover the skin removal. They don't pay for the muscle to be tighten. My portion would be about 3500 to have the rest. Now not sure what I will do. Just thought I would check in with everyone. My BMI is 25 Yea Jane

Hi Jane and everyone else checking in, Board has slowed down alot since we have all reached that 1 year mark but I am still plugging on towards goal. ONly 21 pounds to go. Wow! My recent wow is that I went into Onderland around November 4th. weight loss has kind of picked up this last week and I am now to 196 I go see my surgeon for my 1 year this Tuesday. he told me he wanted me to start thinking of plastics now. Most all my weight to lose is in my panni. It covers my upper thigh but use to reach my knees so I am getting there. Hoping to have that taken care of early in the new year. Hope everyone is having a great start to there 2nd year post-op jennifer 361 / 196 / 175ish? .

Wow Jennifer you have done GREAT. I don't ever remember being in onederland my entire life. I know in elementary school I was already over 100 and by Jr. High I hit 200. Its hard at times to relize that I am of normal size. Take care and Have a great Holiday. It is less than 2 weeks away. Hard to believe. Jane 311/158

Hello Jane, I'm suffering yet again from INSOMNIA!! I've had it ever since I had my surgery and it comes and goes. My weight is maintaining and has been for over 6 months now. I'm sure I'd be losing if I could stick to a good and healthy diet. Old habits are creeping up on me and I don't like it! I did have a good WOW moment a few weeks ago. I had my physical agility at work and before surgery it took me 28 minutes to walk one mile with a heart monitor on and when I ran it this time, it took me 16 min 40 seconds to run a mile and a half. It was awesome! I was reading about your extra skin. That has got to be so uncomfortable for you and I can't believe that the insurance makes you wait that long! I really don't like my extra skin and especially my breasts..they look awful..so saggy and deep stretchmarks. I still can't believe that they are still there and haven't disappeared on me. Congrats on your 25 BMI!! That's great!!

Wow Jane, that is great about your weight loss....I can't wait until my Dr. tells me to stop....HaHa! Good luck on the plastic surgery qwest..I'll be right behind you. I'm so nervous about it...I haven't even checked if I may try to have insurance cover at least part of it. I still have at least 40 lbs to go, before I think of all of that! Yay for a BMI of 25....YOU GO GIRL!! Shelly

Hi Jane & everyone checking in! I haven't been on this board in a long time. I am down 96 lbs. & more inches than I can count! I started at a size 26W & am comfortable in 12's with an occasional 10 & one 8 (musta been a misprint! ) I dread seeing old habits creep back in, but they have! I have had a ton of stress in my life over the past several months & that hasn't helped any! But I know it's up to me to grab the proverbial bull by the horns & get with it! I have upped my fluid intake & just inthe past week & a half have dropped 4 pounds! Sometimes I see myself & see the same old fat girl inthe mirror 7 other times I see someone that looks strange & too thin to me. Weird how body dysmorphia can wreak havoc on us! Anyone else suffer from this strange thing? I look forward to catching up with everyone! I think yall look fantastic! I have the most weight in my panni area. There is still substance there though, not just skin. My surgeon told me I was at a HEALTHY WEIGHT! WooHooo! Never heard that before! I am documenting fungal infections, frequent bladder infections that my PCP says are related to the weight of my pannus on my bladder!! Stay in touch yall!! Gina L
