Today is my new re Birthday. I started at 311, day of surgery 296. I have lost 145 pounds. I wore size 28 pants 4x tops and a lot of old outdated clothes. Today I am wearing size 10 jeans medium tops but the most important and thrilling part about his wonderful journey is I am healthy. All my labs are normal, I only take vitamins, 2 a day. I live to make good decisions. I think that is what it is about. Temptation is there, it is hard but I never want to be in that dark place again. Thank you for all the support. My family, is the best. It means the most to have your support, I could never have done it without you. I also thank everyone here at Obesity Help. This is where I did my research. This is where I found Dr. Tom. Again Thanks a lot. I hope anyone thinking about this learns everything they can before you do this. This is a trade off for many life threatening illnesses and I was given , in sense, a different medical problem, but one that I have control over and will make me healthy. Jane Cahill

Happy re-birthday to you, mine is tomorrow. I went from wearing a 32-34 to right now a 16 but wanting to get to maybe size 12. Glad to hear that everything is great and you are doing so well. I agree with you, this is a great place to come. Again, happy re-birthday to you. You look awesome. Happy Birthday to you, Lisa J. in Mass

Celebration time, eh? Congratulations on making the journey through to the losing side of life. What a difference a year makes. I pray that life is now all that you dreamed it could be. I had surgery on October 25th, 2006 so my celebration will be next week. My goal this year was to have lost 100 pounds but I am not quite there. I have 12.5 more to go. Hoping that it won't be long before the next 5 - 10 pounds melts away. Weird how the weight falls off all of a sudden overnight. I shudder when I think about "the dark place" where we all used to hide. Like you, I never want to go back there again. I like the sunshine and smiles too much. Peggy B.

Thanks Erin. Look at all the weight you lost and then to gain it back so quick in a husband form. So how is married life treating you? Jane
