I'm so discouraged
I had my surgery 10/18/05. Here it is a few days from my anniversay and I feel like i should have lost more weight by now. I have lost 92 bls and I am grateful for that. I was hoping to be over the 100 lbs mark by now. The other thing that's freaking me out is that my appetite has increased. There are days where it seems like I eat all day. Then there are days that I hardly eat anything. So I just don't know what to think.
Ladies...well here it is almost a year for all of us... the wls I was on a long stall...staying at 214...for like two months...then boom...I started to increase my excercise big time and have lost like 10 pounds in a week or so...it will happen...I think we have to jump start the old body to get it in fighting mode again...do something different...with your excercise...change your eating pattern a bit...it will happen...just don't forget we have to work this tool...I am at 204.6 as of today...but I had a 5 hour hike in the mountains...so I will watch the weight a bit and see where I am in the next few days...but as long as the scale keeps going down, I am pleased...it will happen...if you work your pouch right... Dennis
285/204.2/185....but if I stay here for a while that is just fine...I feel great and know the tool works...
Hang in there Sonya! I was on a 2 month plateau..and like Dennis bumped up the exercise and here we go...slowly as it may be! You should be so pround losing that 90 pounds.
My appetite is the same as you describe..some days I want to eat...and sometimes a lot...then others I barely eat anything. I think it's totally normal and we are all going through the same things in different phases! Just think of how healthy your body is and how good it feels...and be proud of yourself!
you have lost.....
360 sticks of butter
picture 90 lbs in ground beef...
my 11 year old daughter!!!!
So be proud!!!

Hi~
When I saw your topic I could hardly wait to see what you had to say because that is exactly how I have been feeling lately, discouraged. I, too, have been on a 2 month plateau with 4lbs up/4lbs down over and over again. I try to focus on lost inches and decreased clothing sizes to motivate myself but it's been hard to adjust my mind to the slower weight loss. I had stopped exercising for a while when I hurt my knee. In the last two weeks have returned to 3 days a week [at the gym-- cardio and strength] and starting next week I will add 2 more days[fittness walking]. It's good to see there are others trying to hang in there while we wait for our bodies to catch up to our dreams.
Take Care,
DJ
