Expecting
I know, I'm just a lurker, but I just have to share, I'm pregnant! 1 year and 8 days after my surgery. I had put my GBP off so long because I didn't know how it would affect a pregnancy. When I started to read that babies had better outcomes, I finally scheduled my surgery. I assumed, however, that I'd have to do all the infertility things I did before I got pregnant once my year was up, but I didn't. Now I cannot wait until June 20th or thereabouts! So no more weight loss, but honestly I was pretty plateaued out at least the last month. 150# down from my highest and 132.5 down from my surgery weight is such a gift. I don't want to go on and on, but I just had to share, and my husband and I don't want to tell any of our family and friends until I'm farther along. I didn't think me husband would mind if you know since he doesn't know you. I just couldn't keep it to myself. Thanks for listening!

Julie, this is such amazing news! I am absolutely thrilled for you and your husband. And now you can look forward to a much healthier pregnancy (and better ability to keep up with your little one) since your weight is down to a much healthier level. I am so excited for you! I went through 2 years of infertility before becoming pregnant, and I treasure my children every day, I know it will be wonderful for you as well. Take good care of yourself, watch your nutrition carefully, and I hope you have an easy pregnancy! Post again and let us know how you are doing.
Best wishes,
Sheryl
