Is this motivation or what?

I haven't tracked my food intake mentally or physically for awhile now. And...I haven't been losing either. So today I decided to change all of that. This is what I've eaten so far: 1 sl. r/f peanut butter on toast 140 cals. 7 protien 6.5 fats 3 sugars 1 oz hard cheese 110 cals. 7 protien 9.0 fats 0 sugars 1 frozen egg roll 110 cals. 10 protien 2.0 fats 4 sugars 1 pkg. pb crackers 200 cals. 4 protien 10.0 fats 4 sugars 1 skinny cow ice cream sand. 140 cals. 3 protien 1.5 fats 15 sugars Totals: 700 cals. 31 protien 29.0 fats 23 sugars It's only 2:30 p.m. and I still have the rest of the day to go. It doesn't seem like I have very many calories left to squeeze in the rest of my protien with!!!! Anyhow, today I really did try to make wise choices. What the heck have I been pumping into my body over the past month or two? No wonder I'm reverting back to my old ways. What this tells me is that I've been eating too much and not the right stuff. Now, a question for everyone. How many calories, grams of protien, fat and sugar do you allow yourself while you are still trying to lose? I can't seem to find my book right off and really want to lose these last 12.5 pounds before the holiday**** Oh and I walked for the first time in a long time, too! 40 minutes at the park with Tony Bennett. What a beautiful day to walk, cool enough to wear a sweater. Even had a little spring in my step. Have a great weekend! Peggy B.

I would luv to have you as a motivation buddy! It is hard to get back on track again but I know I've got to or else I'll start gaining again. And that ain't happening!!!! How should we do this? Maybe at the end of the day post what we've eaten? Kind of an on-line accountability thing? Might inspire others to join us who are having a hard time, eh? I just went to the park and walked for 40 minutes. I want to eventually work up to running a little but that'll have to wait. I might have lost weight but I sure am still out of shape! Anyhow, let me know your ideas. Thanks! I'm so excited. Peggy B.

Peggy, I have lost 125# and want to take off another 8. My weight lose has slowed some, but is remaining consistant, with monthly drops of 4-6#. I continue to strive to get in 70-100 grams of protein/day, while keeping my calorie intake at around 1200/day. I always read the label before I eat anything, and if the protein to calorie ratio is to low, I eat somethng else. I really don't keep track of the sugars or fats, because I know if the protein is high, then the others are low. I also either walk, or do the elliptical 45-60 min. 5-6 times per week. I will keep this up until after I have lost the next 8#. Good luck to you, Jeanna

Hey, Jeanna! You have done so well and are an inspiration to those of us who are slipping. I'm going to try to keep calories at 1,000 and get at least 45 - 60 grams of protien in a day. I also want to drink my 60 plus ozs of water. Anyhow, just got back from a nice long 40 minute walk outside. It was 69 when I started and warmed up to 71 degrees by the time I finished. That is a nice treat for those of us here in Louisiana! Now I'm off to start another project. My hubby always rolls his eyes when I do. I'm going to pull the carpet out of one of the smaller rooms and stain the concrete to make it my art studio. I'm tired of being spread out all over the house! Have a great weekend and thanks for the motivation! Peggy B.
