How have we done?
We're all coming up on our one year anniversaries - my, how time flies. I thought it would be fun to check in on everyone's progress, in terms of how much we've lost, the percentage of our total body weight that we've lost, plus the percentage of our excess weight that we've lost.
To calculate the percent of your TOTAL body weight lost, divide your total pounds lost by your starting weight (for me, this is 163 divided by 396).
To calculate the percent of EXCESS weight lost, divide your total pounds lost by the total number of pounds you want to lose (for me, I want to lose 231 pounds total, so this is 163 divided by 231).
So here goes for me:
Pre-surgery weight: 396
Surgery weight: 386
Current weight: 233
Goal weight: 165 (this would require that I lose a total of 231 pounds)
Total pounds lost to date: 163
Total pounds remaining to lose to reach goal: 68
Percentage of total body weight lost: 41.16%
Percentage of excess weight lost: 70.56%
Please share your progress with your October 2005 peeps
Kellie

Goal weight: 150
Total pounds lost to date: 165
Total pounds remaining to lose to reach goal: 5
Percentage of total body weight lost: 52%
Percentage of excess weight lost:97%

First I have to say everyone has done such a great job! Congratulations to all of us!!
Ok.. here are my stats:
Surgery weight: 323
Current weight 193
Goal weight: 170 (doc says 155-170)
Total lost to date: 130
Total left to lose to reach goal: 23
% total body weight lost: 40.25%
% of excess weight: 84.97%
Wow- seeing the percent of excess weight makes me feel better. I've been stuck at the 193 lb mark for about 2 months... but I've lost 85% of my excess weight!
Thanks for the post Kellie!!
