Wisdom teeth - ouch

I had my two lower wisdom teeth extracted last Friday and I'm still in pain! I think I'm just a wimp, but dang this hurts. I went to work today, but am seriously thinking of packing it in and going home to my ice pack and my percocet. And to add injury to insult, I gained 5 pounds since I had my wisdom teeth extracted. Which is pretty interesting since I haven't been able to eat much. I'm hoping that I'm just retaining fluids... Anyway, just wanted to whine Kellie

Thanks, Keke and Megan! I'm feeling somewhat better, but it still hurts to open my jaw and the area where the teeth were removed is still numb! Apparently the swelling pinches the nerve that runs along your jawline, so I may be numb until all the swelling goes away. And since I can't take any anti-inflammatories to speed things along, the swelling is going away very slowly... Oh well, at least I'm feeling good enough to be out and about in the real world! Kellie
