Weekend Update!
Where is everyone this weekend? No one has posted so I'm assuming that you've all had a great time so share, pleze? Mine was pretty quiet, sitting at home recouping still from surgery. I did cook supper for the first time in a week for the family and unloaded/loaded the dishwasher. Still can't lift anything heavy so that means, no vacing, laundry, etc. for a couple more weeks. Wahoo!!! That means I can write and draw more for a few days!
Anyhow, hope y'all had a great one!

Hi Peggy, what surgery did you have? I most of missed a posting? Well i have been busy,my daughter started cheering for football this week.....so we had games sat and sun....plus the weather was just to great for me to stay home..........I hope you have a speedy recovery.........you take care!!! vickie
Hey, Vickie! Sounds like you had a busy, busy weekend filled with fun. Wish I'd been there to share.
I had hernia surgery last Friday. Got rid of the little alien that kept poking out of my belly. Wahoo! Surgeon even gave me a mini tummy tuck while he was at it which is great 'cause I don't think I'd ever be brave enough to have the real deal done!
Anyhow, have a great week and keep on keepin' on!

Talk about looking awesome! You are georgeous, girlfriend. Life is definitely better on the losing side of life, eh? I need to get another picture done. Everyone tells me I'm going through the mid-life phase. I'm wearing size 8 - 10's and I've turned blonde with highlights! Never in a million years did I ever think I'd do that but you know what? I luv it!
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Post lots of pictures. Where are y'all going on your honeymoon????

Hi Peggy,
I'm so glad your surgery went well!!! I bet you feel so much better. I know my hernia was just putting so much pressure on my back because it stuck out so far and it was so large. I also went down 1-2 sizes (depending on the type of pants). Did they need to put drains in??? That's awesome that you got a mini tummy tuck too. I have so much extra skin, but the doc said since I want more children to save the PS for later.
I'm glad you are doing so well. Take it easy and try not to lift anything for a while! I was told nothing over 5 pounds for 6 weeks!!!
take care!!!

Hey, Megen! Sorry it took me so long to respond. I'm just now sitting for longer periods of time at the computer.
It feels w-e-i-r-d!!! Before surgery I had a belly full of fat. After WLS I had a hernia poking out so always wore a girdle type band. After hernia surgery I still wore the girdle type support. This week I finally got to take it off and it feels w-e-i-r-d!!! It's pretty near flat there now and I don't feel "safe". It feels like something is missing...Yea!!! My f-a-t!!! LOL!!!!
My incision is still a little tender so I haven't tried my higher waisted pants on yet but I have tucked my shirt into my low rise jeans and worn a belt! Awesome feeling! I just ordered me some new dress pants and a jean jacket. Can't wait to get them!
Congratulations on your success! You're doing so well.

Hi Peggy,
It is a super weird feeling........indescribable! It's definitely like part of you is missing. I remember feeling that for a couple weeks. Like it almost felt like they took something out. The weird thing is is that the hernia was so large that now I have an indentation. I joke with my husband because with the extra skin and everything it looks like I have a front crack to match the rear crack.......ughh...... Hopefully it will turn out ok after I have PS in the future. Yes, I actually was glad I kept some bigger pants to wear for the first four weeks. I have gone down another size as well now since the swelling is now gone. I was wearing a tight 24 before my hernia surgery and now I can wear a tight 20. It feels really good! Especially since I wore a 32/34 prior to my bypass!!!!
Good luck and take it easy!!! Let your family take care of you!!!
