GALL BLADDER SURGERY(VERY SORE)
I still have my gallbladder, but my roommate had hers removed laposcopically a few years ago. She was pretty sore for 3-4 days, but then it got much better pretty quick. Her recovery time from the gallbladder surgery was much faster than my recovery from lap RNY!
I hope you feel better soon -

Hey Dennis
I am feeling much better now. Very pain pain in the right side. Everything made me sick even water. I did not eat or drink anything for about 3 days before the dr figured it out. They thought it was a stomach virus because my son was sick with one. But like I said I feel alot better now. Back to eating and drinking like always now. Take care

Hi Mary,
Yes, I was very very sore. It was hard to get into and out of bed for a few days, and I walked like a little old lady at first. The pain was, of course, all in my abdomen. I was in my mid 30s when I had the surgery, and it hit me pretty hard those first few days. Take your pain meds, don't over do it, but do make sure you move around some, don't just lay still, just like after WLS, moving around is important.
I think I took a week off of work after the gall bladder surgery, but I'm not positive exactly how many days.
Take care of yourself!
