It seems like our cohort's posting are becoming a little more sparse these days. From what I'm reading, it seems like a lot of us have settled into a "normal" life and are just enjoying ourselves. Although I don't post every day, I do check this forum to see what's going on. I like hearing about how everyone is doing, the good, the bad and the ugly. Anyway, just wanted you all to know I'm thinking about you, even if I'm not a regular poster. Congrats to those of you who have made goal or are close to goal, and good luck to those of us who still have more to lose! We've all come a long way Kellie Lap RNY 10/25/2005 396/247/155-165?

I know what you mean Kellie~I wonder what happened to Keke with her exercise check-in postings. I looked forward to those and it kept me on track. How are things going for you?

I miss Keke too - I'm a regular exerciser and I liked checking in with her. Perhaps she's on vacation... Things are going well for me. I've had a great summer, several fun vacations, and lots of "wow" moments. I'm one of the lucky folks that can eat anything without getting sick, although my pouch tells me when I'm full. I eat pretty healthy most of the time, but I allow myself an occasional treat. All in all, I feel fabulous. How are things going for you??? Kellie

Hey Kellie I was going to post almost the exact message. Where has everyone gone? I think we are all normal and active now. I am adjusting to my new life. I don't know about you but everyday is a WOW moment. I have never been of "normal" size and its fun to have updated clothes. I find I fix myself up alot more. My niece has updated my profile. She designed it and keeps it in check for me. I am very proud of her work. My niece had the surgery 10 weeks ago. She is doing great. It funny but I have already forgotten some of the stuff she is going thru. Life almost seems normal. I find I know longer think about food. I strive just to make good choices now a days. Good luck. You are doing great. You must feel so much better. Take care Jane 296/166/150goal

I do feel so much better and although I'm still not a "normal" size, I'm much happier than I was 148 pounds ago! I do still think about food, but not like I did before surgery. Now I just make a plan for my day in the morning so I get my nutritional needs met. I've learned that if I plan out my day, it's easier to stay on track and make healthy choices. Best of luck on your continuing journey! Kellie

Kellie, Thanks for this post, I think we needed it. I agree that we are all going on with our lives, but we also share something that "no one else" can understand. What I mean by that is the timing of it. I am a lurker and have noticed that there are patterns as I watch with both plateus and losses. I am doing well. I feel successful and my doc feels that I am a success and my bmi still is at obese. He said that the continued weight loss and the loss of 117#'s is what makes it a success. I love reading about how you are all doing. thanks Ann

Ann, Thanks for your comments. It's great that we're all going about our lives, doing what we want and able to enjoy ourselves. But it's also nice to have our OH community that understands where we've come from, where we are and where we hope to go. We understand each other in ways that even the most supportive friends cannot, because we've all been through such similar experiences. I, for one, truly value the people here and wanted them to know that! Best of luck on your continuing journey - Kellie
