I saw my surgeon today. Great news. I'm down exactly 140lbs. I almost fainted. That is a whole person. I can't believe I lost that much. I also saw the nutritionist. She says I have to eat more protein. I told her I can't it's hard to get it all in. She asked me if my hair was falling out. I said yes and she said I had to eat more protein. Any ideas how I can get more in. She emans eating protein from food, not nutritional supplements or bars. I know I know, I need to take some pics and post them. Another thing to do. Never enough hrs in the day do do what I need to do. I just started doing a bit more exercise besides going to Curves, my primary doctor wants me to do more of an aerobic workout. I started walking 2 miles a day, eventually he wants me to get into jogging. Thinking of joining a gym or health club that has a pool so I can swim. One of my most favorite things to do. I see my surgeon on 10-19-06, that will be 1yr and 1 day from the day of my surgery, I plan to be at my goal or at least 5 lbs from it. I want to lose another 30 or so. Thats all for now. Glad to read that everyone is doing great. Keep it up. This was the best decision I ever made, except for marrying my husband 6 yrs ago. Lisa J. in Mass

Lisa, that is incredible news. You're right, 140 pounds, that is a whole person! Can you think back and remember what it felt like before, how your knees hurt, your feet, your back, your hips...and now look at you, walking, swimming, talking about jogging even. Your investment in your health has really paid off! Good for you!! Sheryl

Sheryl, Thank you. You are so right. I look back with no regrets, well maybe just 1. The weight was with me for so long, I feel like I lost a good friend. But it's gone 4ever . Again thank you, Lisa J. in Mass

I have the same problem (not eating enough protein) so I went out the other day and bought a few cans of tuna. 3 oz of tuna has 25 grams of protein... but I know, how much tuna can a person eat?
