North, to Alaska -
I leave tonight for my first long vacation since my surgery. I'm taking an Alaskan cruise from 6/30 through 7/7, then spending a few days in Seattle visting a friend.
Although I would have done this trip before my surgery, it'll be a very different trip now. I've signed up for active shore excursions (bike trip, canoe trip, dog sled camp), whereas at my pre-surgery weight I would have chosen things that required as little effort as possible. Before surgery, I would have been worried about fitting in my seat on the plane, now I'm just planning what music to listen to and what to read...
I'm very grateful to have been blessed with the opportunity to have WLS. It's allowing me to live the life I've always wanted, with no-holds barred fun and adventure.
I wish you all continuing success in your journeys!
