Hi all, How are you all doing with the challange of meeting goal by one year? I am not doing well. Unfortunately I can and do tolerate sugar. But I am still going to work my hardest to get back on the wagon. Or in this case maybe get my tools lined up in my tool box! I just wanted to know how you were and not let this theme fade. Ann

I would need to lose 35 lbs to get there... it could be doable... but I won't pressure myself! We'll see...

You look great and should be very proud of all your weight loss so far. My goal was to lose weight to be healthy and I do feel so much better and am off all meds except for 2. Violet

I have about 70 to go to get to my personal goal in a year but the 86 I have lost so far has stayed off knock on wood lol. I also can tolerate some sugars but I still try to stay away from it and use splenda to sweeten things. Kim

I would have to lose 37.5 pounds by October 5 to reach goal (the highest weight within the normal weight range for my height - not my ideal weight). That would be about 2.4 pounds per week. I'm not losing quite that fast any more. Sugar is not my problem (although I haven't tried it), my problem is pretzels and corn chips. My other problem is inconsistent exercise. Maybe I could make it, but I'm not going to kill myself. I am delighted to be below 200#. That was my first real major goal. I would of course be happy to reach "goal" at one year, but I am pretty darn happy with myself now and I have a way of living I can live with. I wish the best for you. I wonder if maybe your expectations are too high. Julie 330/312.5 at surgery/196.5/159

I would need to lose another 90 pounds by 10/25/06 to make my goal of 165 in a year. Although I've already lost 142 pounds, my weight loss has slowed down and I don't want to push myself to lose another 90 pounds in 4 1/2 months. I just don't think that's realistic for me. I'll be happy if I can lose another 30-40 pounds by my anniversary sate, leaving me 50-60 more to lose to reach my goal. Slow and steady wins the race, I say... Best of luck to everyone in achieving their personal goals! Kellie Lap RNY 10/25/05 396/254/165?

My initial goal is 160 pounds, I'm 13 pounds away, so it is feasible, but I don't want to kill myself either. Especially with all the fatigue I have been suffering from! The closer I get to my goal though, the lower my goal seems to get. Don't get me wrong, I'm so happy to weigh 173 & 160 would be awesome, but I see how much bulk I still have below my skin & I know that 145-150 would be better for me! I may not see that, but hey, a girl can dream!!! Congrats to us all on our successes!! Gina L minus 87 pounds & the lowest in 23 years!

Let me first say I can not see myself ever reaching ideal weight ( 147?) My target weight is 175 and I have hope that I will reach that by my 1.5 year mark. My 1 year personal goal was to be under 200 and that is 42 pounds away. I am hoping I make it but if I don't--- I am so much better today 116 pounds lighter than I was back in October. good luck,< Jennifer 357 / 241 / 175ish?
