Ok here goes a little background. I stayed very tired and give out before surgery. I do have depression that is regulated by meds. (effexor xr, I was on 225mg before surger, now on 75mg) I figured that the tiredness was due to the weight (241.5) and the dosage of effexor at the time, but I am almost 9 months post-op and I still have the same tiredness if not worse everyday, some days better than others. My sister says "Well do you think it's due to depression?" I told her "I'm not depressed" I mean hell I've lost 83 lbs, why should I be? She said "Well your body can be depressed and you not know it" I DO NOT feel depressed at all, I am happy go lucky all the time. I will say that at this point I don't exercise, but that's due to either being nausious all the time (was told I have an ulcer) or having sinus/migraines, but I don't think that would be causing me to stay so tired, because I have a friend who doesn't exercise and he has energy through the roof. I often wondered (before surgery and now) if it could be chronic fatigue syndrome as I looked it up and I have atleast 4 of the symptoms of it, What do you guys think, could that be possible? I go to my Dr. tomorrow for a re-check on the ulcer situation, and I'm going to question him on this, but I know all my labs are fine because I called them again after they told me they were ok, just to make sure my Iron and B-12 was ok, and they said everything was in normal range, nothing high, nothing low, so I wonder if it is chronic fatigue, after all after loosing 83 lbs. I should have energy through the roof as well I would think. Thanks for listening Melissa 241.5/158/150

Hey Melissa, I am in the same boat as you are! I have zero energy and it has gotten worse lately! I take my vitamins, B-12, etc. I exercise very little, because I don't have the energy! I went for my 6 mos ckup today, I was over a month late, but he gave me a few of the Bariatric Advantage B-12's and said to try them for a few days & if there was no difference to call him. he would probably give me a script for B-12 injections. He also said that increasing my exercise would help. I'm like, hello, I can't get myself out of bed on teh weekends unless I have to be somewhere! How do you think I can increase my exercise? He said I have to MAKE myself! Ugghhh!!!! Glad to know it's not just me!! Hugz, Gina L 260/174/160????
