Hello
I just wanted to take a moment and tell everyone how well they are doing. It seems like yesterday that we all had our surgery. All of our lives have changed so much in these passed 7 months. I am so happy everyday that I was able to have this done. I have no regrets. It has been worth every ache and pain that we all go through in the beginning. I am doing great I have went from 320 to 189 so that is 131lbs gone. I dont think my life could get any better. So everyone lets have an update. starting weight and weight now. Do you have any regrets?? Everyone take care.
Hugs
Mary
Starting Weight: 299 lbs (BMI 43)
Weight at time of WLS: 260 lbs = 39 lbs lost (BMI 37)
Weight now: 187 lbs = 112 lbs lost (BMI 27)
My personal goal: 165 lbs = 22 pounds to go (BMI 24)
Was it worth it? Unquestionably, the answer is YES! This is the first time in my life that I have had any reasonable control over what I consume. I feel empowered to manage my health.

Hi al here goes:
starting weight: 304
weight now: 198
I am so thrilled. Everyone comments about how much happier, better, and younger I look. I did have a couple of "bumps in the road" but I'd do it again in a minute.
My only regret is that I found out I can eat sugar (dam it). This is where I remember why I did it.
hugs to all -
Ann

Great job everyone. My pre op weight was 295. I now weigh 218. my goal weight is 160-165. Getting there slow but sure. My only regret is not knowing that my weight loss would like to slow down so early. I would have liked to be down at least 110 lbs by now. Maybe I could have done something differently like stay on the post op stages diet longer. Everyone tells me that that would be the thing to do to jumpstart my weight loss again but it's not that easy anymore. Besides, isn't it too late for that?????
I'M A "SLOW LOSER" AS WELL, MS SHANA. I'VE JUST MADE PEACE WITH THE FACT THAT THIS IS HOW MY BODY LOSES, FOR WHATEVER REASON. I DARN-NEAR DROVE MYSELF CRAZY TRYING TO FORCE MYSELF TO LOSE FASTER, BUT IT DIDN'T WORK. I'M OLDER (53) WITH A HEART CONDITION & ON 2 POWERFUL DOSES OF BLOOD PRESSURE/HEART MEDS WHICH SLOWS MY SYSTEM DOWN ... &, I'M BEGINNING MENOPAUSE SOOOOOOOOO ...
BUT, 82 #s IS STILL 82 #s &&&&& I MADE IT INTO "ONE"DERLAND & AM NOW LOOKING TOWARDS THE "CENTURY MARK" NEXT. THAT'S HOW I DO IT ... TAKE I SMALL GOAL AFTER ANOTHER & THEY ALL ADD UP TO BIG NUMBERS & TERRIFIC CHANGES IN MY HEALTH & LIFESTYLE & ACTIVITY LEVEL! THE GREATEST THING IS THAT I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER ... HEALTHIER THAN I HAVE IN DECADES.
YOU'RE DOING FABULOUSLY ... JUST THINK OF WHERE YOU STARTED & WHERE YOU ARE NOW ... &&&&&& WHERE YOU'RE HEADED!!!!!!!!
