Depression??

Anybody else a little down that the biggest part of our losing is over? I'm 8lbs to my personal goal, 2lbs under my surgeons goal, so my days of losing several pounds a month are over. Maybe I just traded the rush I got from stuffing my face for the rush I got seeing the scale zoom down, I dont know, but I'm really down now that it's mostly stopped... I'm having lots of fun trying on clothes and I'm sewing up a storm lately, so that helps. Another question for you- anybody else still feel fat? I'm wearing an almost-loose size 6, for goodness sake, but I still feel huge! I actually feel fatter now than I did when I was still in 12s! I'm constantly adjusting my clothes so that they dont show my rolls, I change my outfit at least twice every morning looking for something that makes me look skinny... I'm scheduled for a med check next week, maybe the dosage on my "crazy pills" needs adjusted... Thanks for listening!! Rebecca

Great Job Rebecca...I wish I was at goal...my weight loss is slow and steady...but slow better then none...I don't understand why you are depressed...I wish that my scale was at my goal...oh well...you have done a great job...and you are not finished...you will have to maintain and watch what you eat for the rest of your life...so your RUSH should be not seeing the Scale Numbers going up...again great job...Dennis 285/219/goal.........185......still working on that goal....

Hi Rebecca, You know, I'm certainly no expert, but some of your behavior does sound a little off... you say you are taking meds, are these for depression? I'm just thinking that, when you say you feel fatter now and you're a size 6, it's clear that your perceptions of your own body are way off. I hope you will talk to your doctor about how you are feeling and some of your thoughts and behaviors. I'm wondering if some counseling would been in order to help you deal with body image thoughts/feelings? Anyway, I hope you can come to terms with these feelings and that you find happiness and contentment in your new physical self! Best wishes to you, Sheryl
