Survived the Police Academy!

Well, I made it through a two week training program and am now officially a Class I Special Law Enforcement Officer! It was a very difficult program for someone as old and out of shape as me, but I pushed and pushed and somehow made it through. I almost quit a few times when the pain got the better of me, but I refused to let the drill instructor win. I'm pretty sure I re-tore the ligament in my knee so now I'll be hobbling in to see my doc and find out if I'll need surgery. It sucked, but it was totally worth it. That was just a little bit of what they'll put me through in the training program for regular or class II. I really need to be in shape before I even attempt either of those. I was the oldest person in the class after one guy who is a 58 year old retiree. Everyone else was under 25, and there were 10 people there who were only 18 and hadn't even graduated high school yet. I really felt old sitting in that room. Only me and that older guy are married out of the entire class of 53 people. That was interesting lol. It was a great experience though. Anyway, I'm off to now. I just wanted to brag a little . I hope everyone's having a good night.

WOW! That's really impressive, I didnt know you were doing that! I can totally NOT imagine myself doing anything that physical, even now, I'm a total chicken when it comes to most anything that requires me to sweat! Congratulations, how proud you must be!! Rebecca
